<br />storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and approval by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, directs the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to <br />make such designations available to legislative bodies oflocal jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />COMPLIANCE WITH CWCB TECHNICAL STANDARDS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Floodplain Information Report dated March 2002 revises said Flood Hazard <br />Boundary Map for the Town of Granby; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the revised approximate floodplain information in said new Floodplain Information <br />Report meets all of the requirements listed under the Board's "Rules and Regulations for the <br />Designation and Approval of Floodplains and of Storm or Floodwater Runoff Channels in Colorado" (2 <br />CCR 408-1) for approximate floodplain information; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the approximate floodplain information contained on said Flood Hazard Boundary <br />Map is inaccurate and does not meet all of the requirements listed under the Board's "Rules and <br />Regulations for the Designation and Approval of Floodplains and of Storm or Floodwater Runoff <br />Channels in Colorado" (2 CCR 408-1) for approximate floodplain information; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Town of Granby should continue to regulate new development and construction in <br />floodplain areas on a case-by-case basis based on the information presented in said new Floodplain <br />Information Report; and <br /> <br />DESIGNATION AND APPROVAL ACTION <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board in <br />regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, this 25th day of November 2002, that it does hereby <br />designate and approve as approximate floodplain information the lOO-year floodplain delineations as <br />listed in Table 1 for the Town of Granby contained in said new Floodplain Information Report dated <br />March 2002; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board that it does hereby <br />acknowledge and rescind as approximate floodplain information the lOO-year floodplain delineations <br />contained on said Flood Hazard Boundary Map dated August 15,1975 for the Town of Granby; and <br /> <br />BE IT FUR THER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is directed to send a certified <br />copy of this resolution to Town of Granby and the Federal Emergency Management Agency Region 8. <br /> <br />2 <br />
