The agency also coordinates with the USACE regarding 401 Certification for the <br />USACE 404 Permit. <br /> <br />Colorado Department of Transportation <br /> <br />Based on information received from the applicant, it is our understanding that CDOT would <br />construct the new Highway 6 Bridge over the interceptor channel. The applicant would need to <br />coordinate with CDOT to assure their activities are scheduled to occur after the downstream <br />conveyance channel has been constructed. <br /> <br />Public Services and Utilities <br /> <br />The contractor is required by law to contact the Utility Notification Center for Colorado at 800- <br />922-1987 to obtain updated information regarding utilities present within the project area. The <br />contractor would need to coordination with local utilities to prevent unnecessary interruption of <br />service to residents of Logan County and Sterling during construction of the flood control <br />facilities. <br /> <br />Union Pacific Railroad <br /> <br />Based on information received from the applicant, it is our understanding that UPRR would <br />build a new bridge over the interceptor channel and construct temporary shoofly tracks to carry <br />rail traffic during the bridge construction. The applicant would need to coordinate with UPRR to <br />assure their activities are coordinated with the channel construction. <br /> <br />Logan County <br /> <br />For both Alternative 2 and Alternative 3, a Floodplain Development Permit would be required <br />from the Logan County NFIP Floodplain Administration. <br /> <br />3-21 <br />
