In Colorado, the 100-year floodplain is
used as the regulatory floodplain. It is difficult to
implement regulations without known floodplain limits and
water surface elevations.

E. providing Legal Floodplain Limits

In compliance with Colorado Statutes, a legally enforceable
floodplain limit or boundary can only be delineated' by:

1) An acceptable hydrologic and hydraulic investigation
which is performed in conformance with CWCB standards
and guidelines.
