<br />WHEREAS, Section 37~60-106(1) (c), Colorado Revised <br />Statutes,directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br />designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or <br />basins and to make such designations available to legislative <br />bodies of local jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said revised <br />information and data and doe!; hereby recommend to the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board that the Board designate and approve as <br />floodplain areas those areas inundated by a 100-year flood <br />(intermediate regional flood) as described by the floodwater <br />surface elevations and profiles in said new report, and further <br />recommends that the floodplain designation for the Colorado <br />River, Roaring Fork River and Cattle and Alkali Creeks, as <br />approved by resolution Nos. 2~ and 87, adopted July 11, 1973, and <br />November 15, 1978, respectively, not be rescinded; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, because the sta~f of the Board finds that the flood <br />hazard data in said reports dated April 1973, December 1977, and <br />January 3, 1986, to be similar, the community may use any of the <br />three studies for the administration of its floodplain management <br />programs, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conser- <br />vation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, <br />this 16th day of January, 1986, that it does hereby designate and <br />approve as floodplain areas those areas described as being <br />inundated by a 100-year flood as described by the floodwater <br />surface elevations and profil~s in said new report, dated January <br />3, 1986; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is <br />directed to send a certified copy of this resolution to the <br />Garfield County Board of COlInty Commissioners and the Federal <br />Emergency Management Agency. <br /> <br />C E R T 1 F I CAT E <br /> <br />I certify that the forE!going is a true and correct copy <br />of a resolution adopted by <a majority vote of the members of <br />the Colorado Water Conserl1ation Board in regular session <br />assembled at Denver, Colorado, on the 16th day of January, 1986, <br />at which a quorum was present, <br /> <br /> <br />MLd>~- ?tc:/Jmu..J.. <br />William McDonald, Secretary <br /> <br />
