PAULSON <br /> <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />Environmental Impact Studies <br /> <br />Mr. Paulson has prepared technical portions of environmental impact studies for a variety of <br />water resources projects, including: <br /> <br />. Technical contributions to the EIS for Clark County Wetlands Park in Las Vegas, Nevada, <br />with emphasis on water quality and channel erosion issues <br />. Technical contributions to the EIS for NEPA compliance for the Provo River Restoration <br />Project in Utah <br />. Project engineer for a Supplemental Environmental Impact Report for proposed Corps of <br />Engineers/Los Angeles County improvements to the Los Angeles River, involving <br />hydrology, hydraulics, reservoir modeling, and alternative development <br />. Preparation of the water resources elements of Environmental Impact Reports associated with <br />expansion of wastewater treatment plants in Burbank, Moorpark, Rialto, Temecula, <br />Thousand Oaks and Lake Elsinore, California <br /> <br />Expert Witness Services <br /> <br />Mr. Paulson has provided expert witness services in the fields of flooding and hydraulic <br />modeling. He provided expert testimony related to work performed for evaluation of failed flood <br />control improvements in San Diego, California. He also served as an expert witness in two <br />separate litigations associated with flooding in Lake Elsinore, California during 1983 and during <br />1993. <br /> <br />UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, LOS ANGELES <br /> <br />During his period of study at UCLA, Mr. Paulson served as a research assistant in the Water <br />Resources Division of the Engineering Systems Department. He participated in a detailed <br />research study involving the frequency analysis of multi-year hydrologic droughts.
