Technical contributions to the EIS for Clark County Wetlands Park in Las Vegas, Nevada,
with emphasis on water quality and channel erosion issues
. Technical contributions to the EIS for NEPA compliance for the Provo River Restoration
Project in Utah
. Project engineer for a Supplemental Environmental Impact Report for proposed Corps of
Engineers/Los Angeles County improvements to the Los Angeles River, involving
hydrology, hydraulics, reservoir modeling, and alternative development
. Preparation of the water resources elements of Environmental Impact Reports associated with
expansion of wastewater treatment plants in Burbank, Moorpark, Rialto, Temecula,
Thousand Oaks and Lake Elsinore, California

Expert Witness Services

Mr. Paulson has provided expert witness services in the fields of flooding and hydraulic
modeling. He provided expert testimony related to work performed for evaluation of failed flood
control improvements in San Diego, California. He also served as an expert witness in two
separate litigations associated with flooding in Lake Elsinore, California during 1983 and during
1993.

UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, LOS ANGELES

During his period of study at UCLA, Mr. Paulson served as a research assistant in the Water
Resources Division of the Engineering Systems Department. He participated in a detailed
research study involving the frequency analysis of multi-year hydrologic droughts. This study
required familiarity with hydrology, statistical methods, and computer programming.

AFFILIATIONS

American Water Resources Association
Association of State Floodplain Managers
California Floodplain Management Association (Board of Directors, 1991-92)
Colorado Association of Stormwater and Floodplain Managers (Newsletter Editor, 1995-97)
Phi Beta Kappa

PUBLICA TIONS/PRESENT A TIONS

Paulson, E.G., Jr., and J.A.
