concepts in Section 2 of our proposal.) The
result will be a decision on the level of
protection to be provided by flood mitigation
measures, and a short-list of not more than
three concepts deserving further evaluation.

4.2

The Consultant will prepare conceptual
layouts, designs and cost estimates for
structural mitigation measures, and
procedures and costs for implementing
nonstructural measures. Advantages and
disadvantages of each concept will be
considered. Results will be presented to
County and Town staff, who will select the
recommended flood mitigation plan.

Task 6 - Reports

6. 1 The Consultant will prepare text, maps and
drawings to describe the flood mitigation plan.
This will consist of a stand-alone flood
control master plan for Georgetown. A draft
master plan report will be submitted for review
and comment, after which a final report will
be prepared.

6.2 The Consultant will prepare the technical
sections of the Local Pre-Disaster Flood
Hazard Mitigation Plan report. This will
include text and appropriate graphics. Draft
report material will be submitted for review
and comments. Final report materials will be
submitted to County staff in hardcopy and
electronic format for incorporation into the
final Local Pre-Disaster Flood Hazard
Mitigation Plan report.

Client Responsibilities

County and Town staff will provide any available
topographic mapping, aerial photography, previous
flood studies, and information related to past
flooding events.

County staff will prepare the non-technical portions
of the Local Pre-Disaster Flood Hazard Mitigation
Plan.

County staff will prepare the final Local Pre-
Disaster Flood Hazard Mitigation Plan report.

County and Town staff will organize and conduct
public meetings or workshops.

4.3

The Consultant will refine the recommended
flood mitigation plan elements and cost
estimates. This will include a prioritized
implementation plan for the various plan
components.

Task 5 - Coordination

5.1

The Consultant will coordinate flood
mitigation planning activities with County and
Town departments, the State of Colorado
Water Conservation Board, and with other
resource agencies with potential projects
which could affect the plan.

5.2

The Consultant will attend one public meeting
or workshop to gain public support for the
flood hazard mitigation plan.
