COLORADO <br />FOR LOCAL COOPERATION WITH THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA <br />IN THE GRANADA, COLORADO, FLOOD CONTROL PROJECT <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, entered into this ..?-> ~" day of "V"." H ~'.,' 19-'-':.... by <br /> <br /> <br />and between the UNITEO STATES OF AMERICA, hereinafter called the "Government", <br /> <br /> <br />represented by the Contractin9 Officer executing this Agreement, and the Town <br /> <br />of Granada, Colorado, a municipal corporation of the State of Colorado, here- <br /> <br />inafter called the "Town"; <br /> <br /> <br />WITNESSETH THAT: <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town desires to cooperate with the Government to the extent <br /> <br /> <br />necessary for the construction of flood control works at the Town of Granada, <br /> <br />Colorado, in and adjacent to Wolf Creek, such work to be performed and accom- <br /> <br /> <br />plished by the United States; and <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, construction of such flood control works is authorized by <br /> <br />Section 205 of the Flood Control Act of 1948, as amended; and <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 221 of the Flood Control Act of 1970, Public Law 91-611, <br /> <br /> <br />requires a written agreement for projects involving construction that commences <br /> <br /> <br />on or after January I, 1972; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 207 of the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property <br /> <br /> <br />Acquisition Policies Act of 1970, Public Law 91-646, hereinafter referred to as <br /> <br />the "Relocation Assistance Act'l, requires that the local sponsor. in furnishing <br /> <br /> <br />real property incident to Federal assistance, make all payments and provide all <br /> <br /> <br />assistance and assurance provided by Sections 210 and 305 of the Act; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town hereby represents that it has the authority and capa- <br /> <br /> <br />bility to furnish the non-Federal cooperation required by the Federal <br /> <br /> <br />legislation authorizing the Project and by other applicable law. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. The Town agrees that if the Government shall commence construction <br /> <br /> <br />of the flood control works at Granada, Colorado, substantially in accordance <br />
