Oak Creek., Oak, Creek, Colorado," <br />dated September, 1986., has been prepared by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board at the request of the Town of Oak Creek; <br />and <br /> <br />HHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff <br />channels or basins of Oak Creek within the Town of Oak Creek <br />and adjacent areas of unincorporated Routt County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Oak Creek has requested the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to designate and approve the <br />floodplain areas as set forth in the aforesaid repor~;, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (c). Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br />assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes. provide that such legislative bodies of local <br />juriSdictions inay provide zoning regulationsf()r land uses on <br />or: along any storm or floodwater runoff channel" or' 'basin only <br />after designation and approval by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised <br />Statutes. directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br />designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or <br />basins and to make such designations available, to legiSlative <br />bodies of local juriSdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. the staff of the Board has reviewed said report <br />and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water ,Conservation <br />Board that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas <br />those areas inundated by a 100-year ,flood (intermediate <br />regionai flood) as described by the floodwater surface <br />elevations and profiles in said report; <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />1980E <br />
