<br />e <br /> <br />FPR 92-332 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />721 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />November 10, 1992 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a report entitled "Flood Hazard Information, Colorado River, Palisade, <br />Colorado Hydrology" has been prepared by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento <br />District, on November 1976 and previously designated and approved by Resolution No. 80 <br />adopted on September 23, 1977; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Town of Palisade, Mesa <br />County, Colorado" has been prepared by the Federal Emergency Management Agency dated <br />February 5, 1986, (not designated); and <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />WHEREAS, new report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Town of Palisade, Mesa <br />County, Colorado," dated July 15, 1992 has been prepared by the Federal Emergency <br />Management Agency; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report provides, on the bases of a revised hydrologic analysis <br />and of more current topographic mapping, detailed floodplain information that revises the <br />information contained in the floodplain report previously designated by Resolution No. 80 <br />on September 23, 1977 relating to the reach of the Colorado River within the corporate <br />limits of the Town of Palisade; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town- of Palisade, Colorado has requested the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to designate and approve the detailed floodplains set forth in the <br />aforesaid new report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(C), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages <br />therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes, provide <br />that legislative bodies of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on <br />or along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and <br />e approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br />
