Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />BOARD <br /> <br />October 31, 1973 <br /> <br />R E S 0 L Q T ~ 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Soil Conservation Service, U. S. Department <br />of Agriculture, has completed Flood Hazard Analyses on Sand Creek, <br />City of Colorado'Sp:dngs andEl 'PaSO ,County, ,Colorado" dated 'July <br />1973: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Flood PlaiP Information Report outlines and <br />describes the flood water runoff c~annels within the above described <br />areas; ana <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 149-1-1l(4) , Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1963, requires that the Colorado Water Conservation Board designate <br />and approve storm or flood water runoff channels and to make such <br />designations available to legislat~ve bodies of local jurisdictions; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 139-60-~, Colorado Revised Statutes 1963, <br />provides that such cities, towns, incorporated areas and local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning r~gu1ations for any storm or flood <br />water runoff channel only after de~ignation and approval by the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County of E~ Paso and the City of Colorado <br />Springs have requested the ColoradO Water Conservation Board to <br />designate and approve the flood ha~ard areas as set forth in the <br />aforesaid Soil Conservation Servic~ Flood Hazard Analyses; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said Flood <br />Plain Information Report and does ~ereby recommend to the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board that said Board designate and approve as <br />flood hazard areas those areas set forth in the report as being <br />subject to a 100 year flood; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Con- <br />servation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, <br />this 31st day of October, 1973, that it does hereby des~gnate and <br />
