On the basis of subsequent studies by the <br />U. S. Geological Survey of flood drift deposits, it has been <br />estimated that the 1904 flood discharge may have been as great. <br />as 57,000 c.f.s., but this appears somewhat doubtful in view <br />of the estimates of flood damages made at the time of this flood. <br /> <br />10 <br />
