<br />I <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />DRAFT <br />Scope of Work <br />Cherry Creek PMP Scoping Project <br />March 2000 <br /> <br />The Consultant shall provide technical assistance to the Board for the preparation of a draft <br />"Scope of Work. The Scope of Work shall be entitled "A Technical Review and a modification <br />of the existing site specific PMP study for Cherry Creek basin, Colorado," This draft Scope of <br />Work will be the basis for the performance of a technical review/analyses by a professional <br />meteorological/engineering firm (under separate contract), <br /> <br />The Consultant will search for existing published technical data; research the technical PMP <br />guidelines and study procedure; and draft a "Scope of Work" for the performance of a technical <br />review and modification ofthe NWS PMP study and presentation of the Colorado PMP Study <br />parameters, <br /> <br />The following products shall be presented to the CWCB for the Cherry Creek Basin draft "Scope <br />of Work," Specific tasks and products are: <br /> <br />1,) Prepare a roster of recognized experts who can provide technical testimony for the <br />performance of the Cherry Creek technical review and modification and identifying their <br />area of involvement and contact information; <br /> <br />2,) Prepare a list of published reports and related data/documentation for the basin, and prepare a <br />brief synopsis of the content; <br /> <br />3,) Prepare a list of the maj or tasks for the performance of a technical review and modification <br />of the PMP study, based on the National Weather Service's (NWS) July 13, 1995 Cherry <br />Creek Basin Site Specific Analysis; <br /> <br />4,) Formulate a procedure to I) discover information on historical and regional flood events; 2) <br />prepare an interview form; 3) interview the people on attachments 1 & 2; <br /> <br />5,) Acknowledge CSU's "Goals and Objectives of the State's Extreme Precipitation Study" and <br />provide a statement regarding it's application to the Cherry Creek basin; <br /> <br />6,) Document the federal study approach and define the specific tasks, assumptions, and data <br />used by the NWS in their July 13, 1995 study investigation; <br /> <br />7,) Identify, to the extent possible, the difficulties of performing a PMP study in a transition <br />zone between HMRs 52 & 55A, and the applicability to the basin's PMP investigation; <br /> <br />8,) Outline procedures for the development of acceptable PMP model study and its parameters, <br />identify applicable orographic effects and study assumptions for a PMP model; and <br />
