My principle purpose in seeing you waS to
tell you that Mr. Fisk and Mr. Snodgrass advised me
last week that the data requested by Mr. Patterson WaS
forwarded to him last September, and that he now has
it in his possession. This information relates en-
tirely to the upper Huerfano, and there is nothing
new in connection with the lower dam site.

As I told you before, the site at the junc-
tion of the Huerfano and the Cucharas is to be sur-
veyed shortly by the army engineers. There is, there-
fore, no engineering data available on that portion
of that project.

I also wanted to learn from you just how
much of the cost of the construction of these flood
provisions and storage reserves must be borne by the
persons interested, and how much will be paid by the
Federal Government. I would much appreciate your
giving me detailed information in this connection.

---,.-'-">:

Yours very truly,

JBB:EA

~h '~tf~1C/-d
<::j7JOhn B~Barnard .
