McKay Road crosses the floodplain, but exerts little impact on flooding on the overbank. Many overbank areas are agricultural properties. The river between East 104th Avenue and the Adams County Regional Park (East l20th Avenue extended) is generally braided and unconfined. The floodplain limits are defined by the natural topography rather than levees. From East 120th Avenue to East l36th Avenue the river is sinuous and braided with no significant levees confining the flows. This reach passes east of the Adams County Regional Park. The floodplain consists primarily of agri- cultural land and gravel mining operations. Henderson Road crosses the river in this area and the Brantner Ditch diversion is also in this portion of the river. From East 136th Avenue to Baseline Road the river and flood- plain are essenti ally natural. The floodplain inundates a great deal of agricultural properties. East l60th Avenue (State Highway 7) crosses the river one mile south of Baseline Road Bridge.
