Since this project involves a raw water diversion, the Board <br />is required to conunent on the project's iDlpact on existing instream flow water rights and <br />on cODlpacts and/or equitable allocation decrees, <br /> <br />Proiect SununaIY <br /> <br />Attached is the Project Summary which was prepared by the Authority. The <br />iDlproveDlents which the Town is conteDlplating include: <br /> <br />replaceDlent of an existing diversion structure on the Fraser River <br /> <br />construction of a new, backup well field <br /> <br />construction of new backwash ponds at the treatDlent plant, and, <br /> <br />extension of the existing water line to adjacent lands. <br /> <br />Staff Analysis <br /> <br />The Board has an instream flow appropriation on the Fraser River which extends <br />froDl the confluence of Ranch C:reek to the confluence with the C:olorado River (see <br />attached Dlap). The Board's appropriation is for 30 cfs during the sununer, and 19 cfs <br />during the winter. Based on discussions with the Authority and with representatives frODl <br />the Town, it does not appear that the improveDlents to the Fraser River structure will alter <br />
