<br />DESIGNA TION, APPROVAL, ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND RESCISSION ACTION <br /> <br />( <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board in <br />regular meeting assembled in Durango, Colorado, this 24th day of May 1999, that it does hereby <br />acknowledge the official status of the Flood Hazard Boundary Map dated September 26, 1978, for <br />purposes of the National Flood Insurance Program only, during the period from September 26, <br />1978 until August 19, 1985, and that it does hereby acknowledge the official status of the Flood <br />Insurance Rate Map dated August 19, 1985, for purposes of the National Flood Insurance Program <br />only, after August 19, 1985, and that it does hereby rescind the storm or floodwater runoff channels <br />or basins delineated in each of those maps; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Colorado Water Conservation Board does hereby <br />designate and approve as storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins those streams within the <br />Town of Otis and immediately adjacent areas of unincorporated Washington County, as listed in <br />Table 1, that are described by the approximate floodplain information in said new report dated May <br />1999, that meets the criteria set forth in the Rules and Regulotions, contingent upon the <br />understanding that the Town of Otis will regulate the approximate floodplains on a case-by-case <br />basis, subject to an approximate or detailed hycJrologic analysis, as appropriate, and subject to an <br />approximate or detailed hydraulic analysis, as appropriate, both analyses to be performed by a <br />professional engineer and submitted by the developer or development proponent; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is directed to send a <br />certified copy of this resolution to the Town of Otis; the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Washington County; the Colorado Office of Emergency Management; and the Federal Emergency <br />Management Agency, Region 8, <br /> <br />CERTiFICATE <br /> <br />I certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution adopted by a majority <br />vote of the members of the Colorado Water Conservation Board in regular session assembled at <br />Durango, Colorado, on the 24th day of May 1999, at which a quorum was present. <br /> <br />\~LJM ~ <br /> <br />Peter H, Evans, Director <br /> <br />res.99-496.doc brh <br /> <br />6 <br />
