<br />Need for a Case-by-Case Review of Development Proposals <br />WHEREAS, the designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />of the approximate floodplain information for drainageways listed in Table I above is' <br />contingent upon the understanding by the Town of Otis of the need for a case-by-case review by <br />the Town of Otis of all development proposals within those approximate floodplains listed in <br />Table 1, with the specific understanding that the need for approximate or detailed hydrologic <br />and hydraulic analyses will be determined in accordance with the information provided in Table <br />4 below: <br /> <br />Table 4 <br />Hydrolol!ic and HydJ-aulic ReQuirements <br />For Development Proposals in Approximate Floodplains <br /> <br /> <br />Stream's Draina e Area <br />Within "Guidelines" limits <br />Outside "Guidelines" limits <br />Within "Guidelines" limits <br />Outside "Guidelines" limits <br /> <br />Hydrologic <br />Re uirements <br />A roximate <br />Detailed <br />Detailed <br />Detailed <br /> <br />Hydraulic <br />Re uirements <br />A Droximate <br />A roximate <br />Detailed <br />Detailed <br /> <br />; and <br /> <br />General Compliance <br />WHEREAS, the approximate floodplain information contained in the Flood Hazard <br />Boundary Map dated September 26, 1978, later converted to the the Flood Insurance Rate Map <br />dated August 19, 1985, does not meet alII of the requirements for approximate information <br />listed under the Board's "Rules and Regu1otions for the Designation and Approval of <br />Floodplains and of Storm or Floodwater Runoff Channels in Colorado" (2 CCR 408-1) <br />(Rules and Regulations); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the information in said new report dated May 1999 for the stream reaches <br />in the Town of Otis and immediately adjacent portions of unincorporated Washington County, <br />as listed in Table 1 above, meets all of the requirements for approximate information listed <br />under the Board's "Rules and Regulations for the Designation and Approval of Floodplains <br />and of Storm or Floodwater Runoff Channels in Colorado" (2 CCR 408-1) (Rules and <br />Regulations), contingent upon the understanding by the Town of Otis of the need for a case-by- <br />case review of all development proposals; and <br /> <br />5 <br />
