PURPOSE AND SCOPE

This report was prepared as a guide for the land owner(s) and local officials in planning the use
and regulation of the floodplain areas such that flood hazards and future flood damages are
minimized. It includes information on historical flood levels, existing factors which influence the
flood hazard, and the nature and extent of probable future floods. The report has attempted to
update the flood hazard for the described area by referencing the previous studies of the Corps of
Engineers [Ref 1], Creative Engineering [Ref 2], and the Federal Emergency Management
Agency (FEMA) [ReD].

The report data includes a flooded area map, flood profiles and floodplain cross sections
showing the high water elevations for the 100 year flood and for the 100 year flood with an
imposed floodway.
