<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RADIOLOGICAL INSTRUMENT INSPECTION, MAINTENANCE AND CALIBRATION <br />(RI/M&Cl PART B <br /> <br />The Colorado Division of Disaster Emergency Services will maintain <br />and operate a state wide program to provide for the distribution, <br />inspection, maintenance and calibration of radiological instruments <br />wi th an associ ated battery exchange program to insure that the <br />instruments remain in a state 9f operational readiness and mission <br />reliability for use within the Integrated Emergency Management <br />System. The program will adhere to equipment repair manuals and <br />the maintenance and calibration memoranda provided by FEMA. <br /> <br />The RI/M&C program will be implemented in accordance with the <br />RI/M&C Plan of Operations dated July 1985 and updated in June of <br />1989. This plan forms the operating basis for the Colorado <br />pl-cgram. <br /> <br />The RI/M&C program will participate with and provide support to the <br />State Radiological Officer by sustaining overall operational <br />readiness o~ the Radiological Protection System by: <br /> <br />Mainta"nlng and complying with Agreement State license CDH 25- <br />(10931-1 and -02 for the use, possession, control and storage <br />of a'l FEMA-owned radioactive material on loan to Colorado and <br />as authori:ed by the license. <br /> <br />Providing fo'- periodic inspection, inventory, and test for <br />leai\age as prescribed by Agreement State 1 icense and FEN,", <br />Radi atlOn Control Committee leak test procedures for all <br />radioactive material on loan from FEMA to Colorado, <br /> <br />Supply current RADEF monitoring instrument inventory data for <br />the Radiological Data Base updates as distribution allocations <br />change. <br /> <br />Update RI/M~C plans on file with FEMA. <br /> <br />S~JPply informaticn reflecting current training of radiological <br />~onitors for Radiological Data Base updates as new classes are <br />conducted. <br /> <br />Participate, assist, and/or conduct radiological portions of <br />exercises as appropriate. <br /> <br />!~ <br /> <br />Enclosures: <br /> <br />Statewide Radiological Instruments Inventory <br />Plan of Operations, 1989 update <br />
