Parker. Colorado.- dated December, 1986, has been prepared by
the Colorado Water Conservation Board at the request of. the Town
of Parker; and

WHEREAS. said report descdbes and outlines the floodplain
data and inf.ormation for the. storm and floodwater runoff
channels or basins of the study area; and

WHEREAS. Howard Needles Tammen & Bergendoff,. under contract
with the Federal Insurance Administration, prepared a report
entitled flFlood.-Ins.urance stllny. 1)o11g1as Coun.t~-C~r-a.do.
Unincorporated Areas," dated March, 1980; .and

WHEREAS, the Colorado Wate~ Conservation Board.. as requested
by the Board of County Commissioners of Douglas County. approved
and designated said report by aesolution No. 164 on September 9.
1980; and

WHEREAS. the Flood Hazard Identification Report for Tallman
GUlch Tributary No. 1 describe!> and outlinesthefloodpla in data

Gulch Tributary No. 1 in a manner that is consistent with that
portion .of. the ~reviously designated Flood Insurance Study
describing the floodplain of Tallman GulCh; and

WHEREAS. the Town of Parke~ has requested the Colorado Water
Conservation Board to designate and approve the floodplain areas
as set forth in the aforesaid report; and

WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(cl. Colorado Revised' Statutes.
requires the COlorado Water Conservation Board to assist in the
prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and
