The master plan, when implemented, will result in a signi- <br />ficant reduction of the damage to be expected during a one <br />hundred year flood. The one hundred year flood plain would <br />be defined and regulated. It would thus become gradually <br />cleared and the damage potential would be gradually reduced. <br /> <br />5. It is recommended that the cities of Lakewood and Denver <br /> <br /> <br />and Jefferson County adopt a number of "select structural <br /> <br /> <br />improvements" to be constructed along the entire reach in <br /> <br /> <br />several phases. The priorities within each phase would be <br /> <br /> <br />related to the potential reduction of flood related damage <br /> <br /> <br />of each phase. <br />
