None of the entities requested further
meetings with Montgomery Watson or CWCB. The following summarizes the telephone
meetings:

Arapahoe County
. Contacts were first made with Cindy Edwards, the fonner floodplain administrator for
Arapahoe County. She indicated that Steve Gardner is the current floodplain administrator
and he should be contacted regarding the designation. Mr. Gardner was unable to be
contacted prior to issuance of the report.

. Ms. Edwards indicated that Arapahoe County is interested in the CWCB designation, but that
Mr. Gardner would like more infonnation on the benefits and impacts on CLOMR/LOMR
reviews,

. It is expected that Mr. Gardner will send in the designation request letter,

Cherry Hills Village
. Mr. Tim Gelston was contacted regarding the Cherry Hills Village designation, He is
somewhat familiar with the designation program and contacted Tom Browning directly.

. Cherry Hills Village is mostly a rural residential community.

. Mr. Gelston is not familiar with any areas that receive repeated flooding damage. There are
some city facilities within the floodplain.

. There are very few fonnal stonn drainage facilities owned by the City. Most drainage is
conveyed via roadway culverts with very few detention facilities,

((f})

arapahoe30_mlngrpt.doc
April 30, 2001

, 013
