In FY 1966, a compound-interest <br />method of computing depreciation was adopted. After FY 1972, a <br />repl acement accounti ng method was used. Future repl acement costs are <br />based on the current cost of these replacements as of January 1985. <br /> <br />Column 8: The amount of interest paid each year on interest-bearing <br />unpaid capital, replacement investment, and capitalized deficits. <br /> <br />Column 9: Total deductions are the sum of columns 4 through 8. <br /> <br />Column 10: These entries come from the occasional need to make <br />adjustments to pri or years' income and/o r expenses. Norma lly, the <br />only adjustments included are those which significantly distort the <br />current-year data. <br /> <br />Column 11-13: Depreciation accounting data are shown in these columns <br />for the years FY 1963 through FY 1972. In FY 1973 and thereafter, the <br />co lumn s are blank because a new method of handl i ng rep 1 acements was <br />adopted for repayment studies.
