No. 176 v' <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />September 23, 1981 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, A floodplain informa'tion report entitled "Flood <br />Plain Informat ion, Cache la Poudre River, Hewlett Gulch" Hill <br />Gulch, Falls Gulch, IVatha Gulch, and Unnamed Gulch," dated May, <br />1981, has been prepared by the United States Army Corps of <br />Engineers, Omaha District, at the request of'Larimer County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlInes the floodplain <br />data and Information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels <br />or basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Larimer County has requested <br />Conservat Ion Board to designate arid approye <br />as set forth in the aforesaid report; and <br /> <br />the Colorado <br />the floodplain <br /> <br />Water <br />areas <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />1973, requires <br />the prevention <br /> <br />Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />the Color ado W'at er Conser vat ion Board to aSS I st in <br />of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of' local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or <br />along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after <br />designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sect Ion 37-60-106( 1) (c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate <br />and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to <br />make such desig'nations ava Hable to leg islat ive bodies of local <br />jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />W,HEREAS, the staff of the Board ha.s reviewed said report and <br />does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those <br />areas inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) <br />as described by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in <br />said report; <br />
