<br />than 5 acres, commercial. construction, industrial construction, construction of public <br />transportation facilities or construction of flood control actiVities; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board in <br />regular meeting assembled in Sterling, Colorado, this 14th day of May, 1996, that it does hereby <br />designate and approve as storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins those areas described by <br />approximate floodplain information in said new report dated March 1995 and revised April 1996, <br />based on the detailed hydrologic information used for the study reaches listed in Tables 1, 2 and <br />3, arid based on the hydrologic procedure for estimating lOO-year peak flows for the study reach <br />listed in Table 4, as described in said report, contingent upon the understanding that the City of <br />Rifle, the Town of DeBeque, Garfield County and Mesa County will regulate the approximate <br />floodplains for the stream reaches listed in Tables 2 and 3 on a case-by-case basis subject to a <br />detailed hydrologic and hydraulic analysis performed by a professional engineer, utilizing the <br />detailed floodplain information included in the preliminary floodplain mapping entitled "Colorado <br />River and Tributaries Floodplain Study, Garfield and Mesa Counties, Colorado" ,dated July, 1987, <br />prepared by the U.S. Anlly Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, and contingent upon the <br />understanding that Mesa County will regulate the approximate floodplains for the stream reach <br />listed in Table 4 on a case-by-case basis subject to a detailed hydrologic and hydraulic analysis <br />performed by a professional engineer; and . <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is directed to send a <br />certified copy of this resolution to the City of Rifle; the Town of Parachute; the Town of <br />DeBeque; the Town of Palisade; the City of Grand Junction; the City of Fruita; the Board of. <br />County Commissioners of Garfield County; the Board of County Commissioners of Mesa County; <br />the Colorado Office of Emergency Management; the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento <br />District; and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. <br /> <br />CERTIFICATE <br /> <br />I certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution adopted by a majority <br />vote of the members of the Colorado Water Conservation Board in regular session assembled at. <br />Sterling, Colorado, on the 14th day of May, 1996, at which a quorum was present. <br /> <br /> <br />95fpr404.may(rev. 96) brb <br /> <br />10 <br />
