<br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, directs the Colorado Water _ <br />Conservation Board to designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to ,., <br />make such designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />TECHNICAL MAPPING ISSUES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Montgomery Watson concluded that several errors and omissions exist in said <br />Flood Insurance Study with included Flood Insurance Rate Maps, and a description of those problems <br />are described in a memorandum to the CWCB dated August 10,2000 and on a review checklist that is <br />contained in the CWCB's project file; and <br /> <br />COMPLIANCE WITH CWCB TECHNICAL STANDARDS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the detailed floodplain information, as listed in Table 1, in said new Flood <br />Insurance Study and Hydrology Addendum meets all of the requirements listed under the Board's <br />"Rules and Regulations for the Designation and Approval of Floodplains and of Storm or Floodwater <br />Runoff Channels in Colorado" (2 CCR 408-1); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, 100-year peak discharges within Adams County for the streams listed in Table 4 <br />were developed by the consulting firm of Montgomery Watson utilizing the latest available CWCB <br />regional regression equations entitled "Guidelines for Determining 100-year Flood Flows for <br />Approximate Floodplain in Colorado": <br /> <br />Table 4 <br />Approximate (Zone A) floodplains within unincorporated Adams County for which <br />100-year peak flows were developed utilizing CWCB hydrology guidelines <br /> <br />e <br /> <br /> <br />;and <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />4 <br />
