The specific items
to be addressed in this study are detailed under Scope of Work.

ITEM 4: The Scope of Work as a minimum shall be defined as:
a) Field Reconnaissance and Surveys: Obtain field data necessary
to describe the hydrologic and hydraulic characteristics of the drainage
basin including photos and measurements necessary for calculating the
hydraulic capacity of the channel and other structures.
b) Hydrologic Analysis: Complete a detailed hydrologic analysis
to determine runoff volumes and flood discharge profiles for the 100 year
frequency, 24 hour duration storm, by developing synthesized runoff hydro-
graphs and incorporating basin characteristics.
c) Hydraulic Analysis: Perform hydraulic calculations to define
the water surface prOfile and floodplain boundaries for the 100 year storm,
given existing basin conditions. Flood elevations shall be calculated
using the HEC-2 computer program technique.
d) Flooded Area Maps: Flood profil es a long the study reaches shall
be shown on graph paper. The 100 year floodplain shall be delineated on
topographic maps, (1" = 200').
e) Preparation of Report: The results of the floodplain information
study shall be documented in a study report.
