Byrne Division of Disaster Emergency Services Camp George West Golden, Colorado 80401 Dear Mr, Byrne: Reference is made to your memorandum of 10 December 1982 concerning the "State Hazard Mitigation Plan", The following revisions to the recommendations contained in the plan are proposed: Page 69, paragraph 4.1.8 Proposal: That the short term initiative be amended to read: Existing dam information in state files will be reproduced and sent to the concerned county emergency management officials, That the long term initiative be amended to add the following sentence: This information will be reproduced at State and sent to the local emergency management coordinator conce rned, Discussion: The paragraph heading, which states "Provide concerned local government officials with dam information in State files", is not reflected in the initiatives, Information received at State should automatically be sent to the offi ci a 1 s who need it most and who wi 11 be taki ng the emergency actions required to reduce the loss of life and property.
