<br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board has determined that the hydrologic <br />methodology developed in the Guidelines for Determining lOO-Year Flood Flows for <br />Approximate Floodplains is appropriate for designation and approval of approximate floodplain <br />information and for use in simple floodplain anlliyses for development such as open space, <br />agriculture, farm bridges, barns and individual residential structures, but that the methodology is <br />not appropriate for development involving residential subdivisions greater than 50 lots or <br />occurring on sites greater than 5 acres, commercial construction, industrial construction, <br />construction of public transportation facilities or construction of flood control facilities; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board in <br />regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, this 13th day of March, 1996, that it does hereby <br />designate and approve as storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins those areas described by <br />approximate floodplain information in said new report, dated February 8, 1996, including the <br />floodplain map dated June 28, 1974 which was incorporated into said new report, for Unnamed <br />Tributary to Sand Arroyo within the corporate limits of the Town of Walsh as of June 28, 1974, <br />contingent upon the understanding that the Town of Walsh will regulate the storm and floodwater <br />runoff channels (approximate floodplains), including local drainage areas, on a case-by-case basis <br />subject to a detailed hydrologic and hydraulic analysis performed by a professional engineer, in <br />accordance with the determinations of the Colorado Water Conservation Board regarding the <br />applicability of the Guidelines for Determining lOO-Year Flood Flows for Approximate <br />Floodplains; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is directed to send a <br />certified copy of this resolution to the Town of Wa1sh; the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Baca County; the Colorado Office of Emergency Management; the U.S. Army Corps of <br />Engineers, Albuquerque District; and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. <br /> <br />CERTIfICATE <br /> <br />I certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution adopted by a majority <br />vote of the members of the Colorado Water Conservation Board in regular session assembled at <br />Denver, Colorado, on the 13th day of March, 1996, at which a quorum was present. <br /> <br />Vj': [0 ~ <br /> <br />Daries C.
