This study
is important because it provides the technical information for enrolling your
cOllUDunity in the Regu1a,r Phase of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
The study serves as the basis for establishing actuarial flood insurance rates
and a local Flood Plain Management Program.

In the near future, a m,~mber of Our Regional Office will contact you to schedule
a public meeting to discuss the results of this study and other aspects of
the NFIP. Representati'/es from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and
the Colorado Water Cons,~rvation Board (CWCB) will be present at that meeting.
We would appreciate YOUJ: review of the study for any possible deficiencies
prior to the meeting. Therefore. it will be necessary for you
to formally request that: the CWCB Officially designate the FIS.

If you should have any ~~estions concerning the enclosed copies of the FIS,
please feel free to contact members of the Regional Office staff in Lakewood,
Colorado, at (303) 234-6582.
