<br />FPR 236 <br /> <br />\ <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />721 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />November 15, 1184 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District, at <br />the request of the Colorado water Conservation Board and the <br />Board of County Commiss ioners of Jefferson County, completed in <br />November, 1979, "Flood Hazard Area Del ineat ion, Clear Creek, <br />Jefferson, and Adams County, Colorado," and also completed in <br />January, 1983, "Flood Hazard AreGl Delineation, Tuckers Gulch and <br />Kenneys Run, City of Golden and Jefferson County, Colorado"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested <br />by the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County and the <br />Ci ty of Golden by Resol ut ion Nos. 155 and 217, adopted January <br />30, 1980, and July 7, 1983, respectively, approved and designated <br />the floodplains described in said report; and <br /> <br />) WHEREAS, a new report entit1ed "Flood Insurance Study, City <br />of Golden, Jefferson County, Colorado," which includes floodplain <br />information and data for Clear Creek, Tuckers Gulch, Kenneys Run, <br />Cressman Gulch, Cressman Gulch Old Channel, East Fork Kenneys <br />Run, West Fork Kenneys Run, West Fork Kenneys Run Tribut.ary No. <br />1, North ForK of West Fork KenneyS Run Tributary No.1, West Fork <br />Kenneys Run Tributary No.2, Deadman Gulch, Lena Gulch, Jackson <br />Gulch and Apex Gulch, dated November 15, 1984, has been prepared <br />by PRC Eng ineering Consultants, Inc., under contract with the <br />Federal Emergency Management AgencY; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report describes and <br />floodplain data and information for the storm <br />runoff channels or basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />outl ines the <br />and floodwater <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Golden ~as requested the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to designate Glnd approve the floodplain areas <br />as set forth in the aforesaid new report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes, <br />requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in the <br />prevention of floods and flood da~ages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, provide that such legislative bodies of local jurisdic- <br />) tions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or <br /> <br />128 <br />res/236 <br />
