<br />,e <br /> <br />Mark Matulik <br />BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH <br /> <br />Mark Matulik is a native of Louisiana and has resided in Colorado for the <br />past 32 years. He received his BS in Soil Science from Colorado State <br />University in 1979. He completed his Masters of Public Administration at <br />CU-Denver in 1986. Mark has worked in the Flood Protection Section of <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board for the past nineteen (19) years. <br />Prior to working for the CWCB, he was employed at the Colorado <br />Department of Agriculture, the Denver Water Board and the USDA's Soil <br />Conservation Service (now the NRCS). <br /> <br />Although Mark's duties vary at the CWCB, the main focus of his work for <br />the past ten years has been flood mitigation. In that capacity, he manages <br />the Community Assistance Program (CAP) and the Flood Mitigation <br />Assistance Program (FMAP). <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Mark also serves as state Disaster Mitigation Officer (DMO) for Colorado's <br />two currently open presidential flood disaster declarations. In that capacity <br />he manages the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) and the Unmet <br />Needs Program. He co-chairs of the State Hazard Mitigation Team and is <br />also is Co-Chair of the Flood Committee of the Colorado Natural Hazards <br />Mitigation Council (CNHMC). Mark is also a member of the Colorado <br />Emergency Management Association (CEMA). <br /> <br />Mark has been a member of the Association of State Floodplain Managers <br />(ASFPM), a national professional organization, since 1981. He currently <br />serves as Co-Chair of the Flood Mitigation Committee. He also serves as a <br />member of the FEMA/ASFPM/NEMA Partnership Committee which <br />develops flood mitigation policy for the FEMA and the states. <br /> <br />Mark resides with his wife, Beverly, in Lakewood and Park County, <br />Colorado. <br /> <br />e <br />
