<br />; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report revised through a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) some of <br />the approximate information incorrectly included in Resolution No. 264, as listed in Table 8, <br />which revision still incorrectly identified those areas as floodprone, as listed in Table 9, attached <br />hereto and by this reference incorporated herein: <br /> <br />TABLE 9 <br /> <br />ADDroximate Information Revised bv LOMR <br />Which Incorrectlv Identifies FloodDlains <br /> <br />West Subtributary to West Tributary of Sand Creek <br /> <br />Unnamed subtributary to West Subtributary to West Tributary of Sand Creek <br /> <br />; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the hydrology for the stream reaches included in Table 3 has been estimated <br />in accordance with the Guidelines for Determi1ring IOO-Year Flood Flows for Approximate <br />Floodplains; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the stream reaches listed in Table 3 have drainage areas equal to or larger <br />than the lower limits for the use of the Guidelinesfor Determining IOO-Year Flood Flowsfor <br />Approximate Floodplains; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the 100-year flow for each of the stream reaches included in Table 3 has <br />been estimated by utilizing the regression equation for Arkansas River Basin Subregion 4a, QlOO <br />= 1408.15 '" (A).6S4 for those streams originating west of the boundary formed by Monument <br />Creek and that portion of Fountain Creek downstream of the confluence of Monument Creek and <br />Fountain Creek and the regression equation for Arkansas River Basin Subregion 4b, QIOO = <br />3089.12 + 198.56 '" A for those streams originating east of said boundary, where QlOO is the 100- <br />year peak flow in cubic feet per second and A is the upstream (contributing) drainage area in <br />square miles; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the use of the U.S. Geological Survey publication, Techniques For <br />Estimating Regional Flood Characteristics of Snuzll Rural Watersheds in the Plains Region of <br />Eastern Colorado, for stream reaches with drainage basins less than I square mile but larger than <br />one-half (0.5) square mile for those streams originating west of the boundary formed by <br />Monument Creek and that portion of Fountain Creek downstream of the confluence of Monument <br />Creek and Fountain Creek, in Arkansas River Basin Subregion ARK-4a, and for stream reaches <br />with drainage basins less than 4 square miles but larger than one-half (0.5) square mile for those <br />streams originating east of said boundary, in Arkansas River Basin Subregion ARK-4b, was <br />endorsed by the Guidelines for Determining IOO-Year Flood Flows for Approximate <br /> <br />10 <br />
