The river signs <br />are important from a safety aspect, advising boaters of upcoming white- <br />water, boat chutes, portages. etc. <br /> <br />Boat Obstacles. Drop structures and check dams should be improved or <br />notched, with portages before each chute, to permit scouting to occur <br />prior to running the chute. <br /> <br />Regional Recreational Plans. South Platte River parks and recreation <br />development plans. gravel mine operations and permits. and river cor- <br />ridor development should be fully coordinated with regional recrea- <br />tional plans of the various governmental entities, or groups of en- <br />tities. <br /> <br />Flood Hydrology. <br />shall be compatible <br /> <br />All planning and deSign for the South Platte River <br />and in accordance with the design floods given. <br /> <br />Low Flow Hydrology. Average monthly low flows in the South Platte <br />River, based on a dry year analysis must be considered for near term <br />planning and design purposes. <br />
