<br /> <br /> <br />Section 7. Violation an Infraction. Any person violating any <br />of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of an <br />infraction and upon conviction thereof shall be fined an amount <br />not to exceed SlOO.OO. Each day such violation is committed or <br />permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense and <br />shall be punishable as such. <br /> <br />All peace officers and persons authorized by law to issue cita- <br />tions wi thin the Water Service Area shall, in conjunction with <br />duties imposed by the law, diligently enforce the provisions of <br />this Ordinance. <br /> <br />Pursuant to the provisions of Section 936.5 of the State Penal <br />Code, the following officers and employees of the City of Santa <br />Cruz are hereby designa ted and authori zed to issue ci ta tions for <br />enforcement of this Ordinance: <br /> <br />Director of Water Department <br />Superintendent of Engineering Operations <br />Water Quality Control Supervisor <br />Customer Service Supervisor <br />Water Production Superintendent <br />Customer Service Representative II <br /> <br />Section 8. Severability. If any provisions of this Ordinance <br />are held to be uncons ti tutional, it is the in ten t of the ci ty <br />Council that such portion of such Ordinance be severable from the <br />remainder, and that the remainder be given full force and effect. <br /> <br />Section 9. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall be in force <br />and take effect thirty (30) days after final adoption. <br /> <br />-16- <br />
