Ken Adams
City Hall
Post Office Box 168
Breckenridge, Colorado 80424

Dear Mr. Adams:

This letter is to cor!firm our meeting with you to discuss the results of
the Preliminary Flood Insurance Study for your community. The meeting
is scheduled for Thursday, May 3, 1979 at 10:00 a.m. at the Town Hall.

The study was completed by Gingery Associates, Inc., consultants to the
Federal Insurance Administration. Representatives of the Federal
Insurance Administration and the study contractor will be available to
discuss the study results and the various aspects of the National Flood
Insurance Program.

The study is important to your community since it is the technical basis
upon which your community is to be enrolled into the Regular Phase of
the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). It serves as the basis for
establishing actuarial flood insurance rates within the community and
the implementation of .~ local Flood Damage Prevention Program.

The NFIP is interrelated with planning new construction, bank financing
and insurance, therefore, you are encouraged to 'extend invitations to
attend this meeting to your local governing body, planning commission,
planners, engineers, building inspectors and local citizens including
bankers, insurance agents and those residing in the identified Flood
Hazard Areas. Attached is a press release which you may use to promote
the meeting in your local news media.

i
