<br />FPR 226 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State ,Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, ColOl:'ado 80203 <br /> <br />January 5, 1984 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI O' N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Flood <br />Hazard Area Delineation, Henry I sLake Drainageway," dated July, <br />'1983, has been prepared by Water Resources Consultants, Inc" ,at <br />the request of the Urban Drainagll! and Flood Control District and <br />the City of Lakewood; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels <br />or basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District has <br />requested the Colorado Water ConlServation Board to designate and <br />approve the floodplain areas as set forth' in the aforesaid <br />-J report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />1973, requires <br />the prevention <br /> <br />section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board to, assist in <br />of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that sUC:h legislative bodies ,of local <br />'jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or <br />along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after <br />designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(l)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate <br />and approve storm or floodwater -tunoff channels or, basins and to <br />make such designations available to legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions; and ' <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the BOard has reviewed said report and <br />does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation, Board <br />that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those <br />areas inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) <br />as described by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in <br />said report; <br /> <br />128 ' <br />FPR226 <br />
