Lang, Chief <br />Flood Control and Floodplain Management Section <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />721 Centennial Building <br />1313 sherman Street <br />Denver, CO 80203 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Lang: <br /> <br />In accordance with Section 37-60-106(1) (C) CRS, the City of <br />Thornton, Colorado hereby requests designation and approval of <br />the following storm or flood water run-off channels or basins <br />as described in the report entitled Big Dry Creek (ADCO) North <br />Area Tributaries prepared bY Wright Water Engineers, Inc. under <br />contract to Urban Drainage and Flood Control Di$trict, Adams <br />County and the City of Thornton. <br /> <br />1. Shay Ditch from STA 27 + 00 to 31 + 95, a distance of <br />about 0.09 miles (495 feet) as detailed floodplain <br />information. <br /> <br />2. Mustang run from STA 39 + 25 to 40 + 30, a distance of <br />about 0.02 miles (100 feet) as detailed floodplain <br />information. <br /> <br />3. South Sack Creek fre@ STA 29 + 60 to 30 + 60, a distance <br />of about 0.02 miles (100 feet) as detailed floodplain <br />information. <br /> <br />4. Sack Creek from STA 30 + 00 to 43 + 00 and STA 60 + 30 to <br />61 + 35, a total distance of about 0.27 miles (1405 <br />feet). <br /> <br />It should be noted that the City of Thornton's planned growth <br />area will include the area of this drainage basin generally <br />bounded on the west by I-25, on the north by 168th Avenue and <br />on the east and south by ba$in boundaries. <br /> <br />'The City of pl<1nned Progress" <br />
