..'::::.

.

_-'1

_

Mr. J. William McDonald, DirectOr
March 17, 1988 - Page 2

Drainage and Flood Control Dist~ict (UDFCD) as appropriate
officials from both entities have signed the Study.

The results of the Report tndicate a much lower 100-year
water surface elevation on the aruchez Farms property and
consequently a much narrower fl~odplain boundary than is currently
depicted in the 1986 Greiner En~ineering FHAD Study. This
reduction can be seen in the appendix of the report on Sheets 6,
7, 22 and 23 where a comparison between the existing and revised
floodplain elevations and designations is depicted. These sheets
are actual pages out of the adopted 1986 FHAD Study. Since the
FHAD study has been adopted by the City, UDFCD and CWCB, it is
necessary to get the official approval from all three governing
bodies.

The City is requesting that the CWCB grant a variance
regarding the 30-day advanced notice per Ruled 9 (D)(l) and that
the CWCB review and approve the Bruchez Farms Report and accept
the conclusions and recommendations within the Report.

If you need any additional information or if you have any
questions or concerns regarding the report, please contact Randy
Case of my Staff at 430-2400, Extension 2120.

2~

Richard S.
