Clear Creek - Many different agencies have devel-
oped or are developing hydrology for Clear Creek,
FIA, Corp of Engineers; UDFCD, and the State High-
way Department to mention only four. The Colorado
Water Conservation Board and the UDFCD has entered
into an agreement WiUl the Corp of Engineers to
develop discharge profiles from the mouth of the
canyon to the confluence with the South Platte
River. In addition, the County has undertaken to
prepare 1"=100' with 2' contours maps of that area
of Clear Creek within Adams County, Both will be
completed in the fall of 1977. Therefore, we re-
quest to the FIA, to suspend their consideration
until this time when more accurate hydrology and
___________~_______~ _ .. ____ .._ _, 0
mapping will be available. 'In additi'on, channel
improvements have been undertaken from York Street
to the confluence, which need to be reflected.

3.

Big Dry Creek - No substantial objection, as the
hydrology and mapping are generallly consistent with
the 1973 UDFCD study Which had the necessary tech-
nical data and accurate mapping. However, the dis-
crepancies at the 1-25 bridge (FIA-5162, UDFCD-51~8)
at the UPRR embankment (FIA-5076,5 UDFCD-5075.21
and at east 160th Avenue (FIA-5077, UDFCD-5075.5)
should be rectified,

Niver Creek - The study fails to take into account
the channel improvement undertaken in the fall of
1976 and spring of 1977. In addition, major upstream
improvements are to be constructed in 1978 and this
should also be taken into account. Therefore, the
study should be modified to reflect these improve-
ments, as we believe these improvements will contain
the 100 year flood within the channel, or at least
within road right-of-way.

Little Dry Creek - A master plan study is being un-
dertaken by Adams County, UDFCD, and the City of
Westminster. In addition, there are substantial dif-
ferences between the FIA's hydrology and'That origin-
ally dc,veloped by the Corp of Engin.ceJ;s. \'Ie there-
fore, request the FIA to suspend their study until
this more accurate $tudy wlth detailed mapping, c~n
b'e accomPfisli'ect,

Northfield Creek - The County has undertaken some
channel, improvements, whlch need to be reflected in
the FIA's elevations. In addition, the City of Thorn-
ton and the County have hired a consultant to do a
detailed mast6r plan of this strea~ and have under-
taken to h~ve detailed 1"=100' with 2' contours maps
