FIA's Washington consultant, Dames and
Moore, has been instructed to consider the data contained in the
"Flood Hazard Area Delineation, South Platte River" by Gingery
Associates, Inc., dated September, 1977. If Dames and Moore finds
that the September, 1977 study best represents the flood conditions
on the South Platte River, FIA will change the elevations and boundaries
before issuing the final base flood elevation determination letter for
Adams County. Within Brighton and Commerce City no appeals were re-
ceived during the 90-day appeal period. Thus, again, if the September,
1977 study best represents the flood conditions, the Flood Insurance
Rate Maps for the two communities will be revised shortly after their
effective dates of November IS, 1977 (Brighton) and February IS, 1978
(Commerce City).

If

any questions, please give Wayne Graham of my staff, or

nal Director

Dr.' rB~~~~q~\~
\ "c, u' '..i77 II
I ,~, - Ii
\ ' <'
~ '
U.
