Six proposed alternatives to prevent future flooding were discussed. Specific
discussion items regarding Alternative #3, which includes construction of a levee to
direct flow south ofW, Rockland Drive. were as follows:

. A levee should have, as a minimum, 4:1 side slopes, with flatter slopes being
desirable to blend into the golf course landscaping,
. A low flow channel will be required south of W. Rockland Drive to convey base
flow and small storm events.
. Some diversion north ofW. Rockland Drive would be required to maintain the
wetlands.
. A levee could potentially work well on the golf course farther west than what was
conceptually shown on the alternative figure.

8, Ben said that the Meadow Ranch, alternatives and schematics should be included in
the draft Phase A report. The report should discuss the parallel model development
and results.

9. Harry Strasser reported that Colorado Department of Transportation is evaluating the
feasibility of widening C-470 by two lanes each way. The centerline will remain the
same as the existing centerline,

10, An explanation was given regarding the process by which projects are placed on the
UDFCD five-year capital improvement plan and how they are funded.

11, OA will submit the draft Phase A report by September 10'h. A public meeting will be
held in October, with one potential date being October 12'h. Ben asked Kathy and
Paula Lundquist for Excel spreadsheets with the addresses for people who should
be sent a mailer regarding the public meeting. Paula will arrange the meeting space.

cc: Attendees via e-mail
Tim Carey via e-mail
Melissa Chew via e-mail
Alecia Cope via e-mail
Russ Clayshulte via e-mail
Scott Franklin via e-mail
Bill Kieck via e-mail
Larry Lang via e-mail
John Liou
Rick McLoud via. e-mail
Larry Mugler via e-mail
Gene Reetz
Sean Warren via e-mail
Justin Werdel via e-mail
Kent Wiley
Paul Winkle
