" OARD <br /> <br />Dear Mayor Mott: <br /> <br />The Federal Emergency ManagEment Agency advised you on March 30, 1982 <br />that base (10o-year) flood elevations within Monte Vista, Rio Grande <br />County, Colorado were finalized as the result of a Flood Insurance Study <br />conducted for your coomunity. The letter also stated that as a con- <br />dition of continued participation in the National Flood Insurance <br />Program (NFIP), it is necessary for your coomunity to adopt a Floodplain <br />Management Ordinance fulfilling the minimum standards established in <br />Section 60.3 of the NFIP Regulations by September 30, 1982. <br /> <br />This letter is to offer our assistance to your community in developing <br />an acceptable Floodplain Management Ordinance. We have rrodel Floodplain <br />Management Ordinances available that fulfill NFIP requirements. <br /> <br />Thank you for your interest in the Regular Phase of the National Flood <br />Insurance Program.
