<br />WHEREAS, section 37-60-106(1) (c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Wate~ Conservation Board to designate <br />and approve storm or floodwater runof f channels or bas ins and tG<'C.' <br />make such designations availab:le to legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said revised <br />information and data and does hereby recommend to the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board that "the Board designate and approve as <br />floodplain areas those areas inundated by a 100-year flood <br />(intermediate regional flood) as described by the floodwater <br />surface elevations and profiles in said new report, and further <br />recommends that the floodplain designation for a portion of the <br />floodplain information for G~re Creek commencing at Vail's <br />December 1, 1980, downstream Qorporate limit--which is a point <br />approximately 1500' upstream o~ the confluence of auffehr Creek <br />and Gore Creek--thence extending upstream to the upstream study <br />limit as defined on Plate l~ of the Hydro-Triad report as <br />approved by resolution No. 51., adopted January 1.4, 1976, be <br />rescinded; <br /> <br />NOW, 'rHERJ;:FORE. BE IT RESOtNED by the Colorado Water Conser~ <br />vat ion Board in regular meetirlg assembled in DenvE\r, Colorado, <br />this 5th day of May, 1983, th.at it does hereby designate and <br />approve as floodplain areas those areas described as being <br />inundated by a 100-year flood ,as described by the floodwater <br />surface elevations and profiles in said new report, dated <br />November 2, 1982, and does hereby rescind the above described <br />portion of resolution No. 51, dated January 14, 1976; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED th,at the Secretary of the Board is <br />directed to send a certified CQpy of this resolution to the Town <br />of Vail, the Board of County Commissioners of Eagle County, and <br />the Federal Emergency Management Agency. <br /> <br />C E R T I F 1 CAT E <br /> <br />I certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a <br />resolution adopted by amajOl~ity vote of the members of the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board in regular session assembled at <br />Denver, COlorado, on the 5th d~y of May, 1983, at Which a quorum <br />was present. <br /> <br /> <br />$~/?zWoJ <br /> <br />.
