A plot of the probability of a certain frequency event versus the mone-
tary damages resulting from the event is the Probability ~istribution'
of Flood Damages. The area under the curve gives the annual expected
damages.

Figures IV-I, 2, 3 and 4 give the Flood Damage Probabi lity Distribution
and annua 1 damages for Lena Gu 1 ch in Wheat F\i dge, Lakewood, Je He rson
County and Golden, Note that these figures are not proportioned to the
tributary area of each entity. Table IV-2 presents a tabulation of
damage in each governmental entity.

Damage if Maple Grove Reservoi r Were Removed. Once the flood flo",s were
determined for future conditions with ~Iap~ie-Grove Reservoir removed, the
flood plain was again determined. This information was then used to
determine the Flood Damage Probability Distribution and annual damages
without Maple Grove Reservoir, See Figure IV-5, The same valuation of
structures, contents and damage curveS were utilized in this deter-
mination as were used in Phase A, 50 that Figure 1\1-5 would relate di-
