<br />I <br />, I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br />others in 1941, 1942, and 1949 also did considerable damage, Other <br />floods on this creek of less spectacular nature have happened <br />frequently enough to keep residents aware of the potential danger, <br /> <br />Dr u m m I s Wall Map shows that Twomi Ie Canyon Creek left its banks <br />at the Silver Lake Ditch in 1906, The present flood wall south of <br />Linden Drive is thought to be a result of a flood control effort <br />undertaken after that flood by the local residents. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Perhaps the outstanding example of the consequences of building in <br />the flood plain in this area was the flood of 1954 in Goose Creek, <br />At that time an addition to Community Hospital, which was in the <br />process of being built, was damaged by a flood.
