<br />.~: <br /> <br />,r'\ <br /> <br />+ti <br />17 <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for any storm or <br />flood water runoff channel only after designation and approval by <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Denver Regional Council of Governments has <br />requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to rescind the <br />resolution adopted by-the Board on December 13, 19B7; which <br />designated and approved the flood hazard areas as set forth in the <br />Corps of Engineers Flood Plain Information Report, Volume II, <br />Summary Report, and Technical Appendix Report, Sand, Toll Gate and <br />Lower Cherry Creeks, and to designate and approve the flood hazard <br />areas set forth in the special flood hazard report to revise flood <br />plain information, Netropolitan Region, Denver, Colorado, Volume <br />II, Sand, Toll Gate and Lower Cherry Creeks, South Platte River <br />Basin, dated Ju:).y 1971: and . . <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed the said <br />flood plain information report and does hereby recommend to the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board that said Board designate and <br />approve as flood hazard areas those areas set forth in the report <br />which are subject to an intermediate regional flood: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver,~olorado <br />this 8th day of Narch, 1972, that it does hereby rescind the res- <br />olution adopted on December 13, 1967 approving the flood hazard <br />areas set forth in Volume II, Sand, Toll Gate and Lower Cherry <br />Creeks, dated April 1964; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board does hereby designate and approve as flood hazard areas those <br />areas described as being inundated by an intermediate regional <br />flood as set forth in the Special Flood Hazard Report to Revise <br />Volume II, Sand, Toll Gate and Lower Cherry Creeks, dated July <br />1971; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary. of the Board is <br />directed to send a certified copy of this resolution to the Boards <br />~_____oL-Colln~Commiss ioners_ -for-Adams-and-Arapah0e-Count.i-e s-,--t.o-tche---.: <br />Mayor of the City and County of Denver, to the Aurora City Council <br />and to the Commerce City, City Council. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
