S. Coip~ of Engineers, Omaha District, <br />completed in April 1964, Flood Pl~in'Information Report, Volume II, <br />Summary Report and Technical Appendix, Sand, Toll Gate and Lower <br />Cherry Creeks; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado W~ter Conservation Board by res- <br />olution adopted December 13, -1967. approved and designated the <br />flood. runoff channels presented in said Volume II; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Denver Regional Council of Governments <br />requested the U. S. corps of Engineers, Omaha Distr.ict, to revise <br />. the April 1964, Flood Plain Information Report, Volume II, Summary <br />Report and Technical Appendix, Sand, Toll Gate and Lower. Cherry <br />Creeks, due to roads constructed within the flood plains having <br />changed the hydraulic characteristics in the channels and because <br />. of hydrologic information obtained during the floods in 1965 in <br />Colorado which indicated that the design floods ~hould be mate- <br />rially increased; and <br /> <br />; <br />r <br />! <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the U. S. Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, <br />has completed Special Flood Hazard Report to_Revise Flooc,i Plain <br />Information Report, Metropolitan Region, Denver, Colorado, Volume <br />, <br />II, Sand, Toll Gate and Lower Cherry Creeks, South Platte River <br />Basin, dated July 1971; and <br /> <br />-- <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />\-- <br /> <br />WHEREAS,' said Flood Plain Information Reports outline and <br />describe the revised flood waterrunof:f channel withil} the des- <br />. cribed areas ; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 149:':1-11 (4) ,Colorac'!o RE')vised Statutes <br />--- --T96T,- re-quH'e s 'that-EneCoLo-rcrdo-Wa-ter-Conserva tion-:-Board-desi:g-nate- <br />and approve storm or flood water runoff. channels" and to make such <br />designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 139-60-1, Colorado Revised Statutes 1963, <br />provides that such cities, towns, incorporated areas and local <br />
