A drainage ditch just south of town was clogged
and the overflow from the rains put three 30 foot wide
holes in the embankment around the ditch. This caused
the town to be flooded by approximately 2 feet of water. 15
residents were evacuated from the local mobile home park
and more emergency procedures were undertaken. One
home was reported as having 6,000 gallons of water in the
basement.

Sources: Denver Post 8/16/90

Unnamed to Clear Creek Mudslides at Georgetown

A Illudslide occurred in an unnamed tributary to Clear
Creek on the west side of the valley at Georgetown.
