A drainage ditch just
south of Frederick became clogged. The overflow from the
rain put three 30 foot wide holes in the ditch embankment.
This caused the town to be flooded by approximately 2 feet
of water. Fifteen residents were evacuated from the local
mobile home park and emergency procedures were
undertaken. One home was reported as having 6,000
gallons of water in the basement.

Source:

Denver Post, 08/18/90

Unnamed Tributary to Clear Creek (Mudslide)

A mudslide occurred in an unnamed tributary to Clear
Creek on the west side of the valley at Georgetown. About
4 inches of rain fell in 2.5 hours.

Source:

Mark Sawyer, Clear Creek County

5
